Chinese New Year 2019 Home Tour

Is it too late to say Happy Chinese New Year? I hope not.

So Happy Chinese New Year for those who celebrated it. This is a tour of my home during Chinese New Year.

I feel terrible being this late on updates for so many time now. Trust me, I’m working on it. I already feel so bad for not posting anything last Christmas despite having many “shareable” content during the holiday. I made a promise to myself that I will be as active as possible in blogging and making Youtube video this year but I’ve been busy as a beaver these days.

I really hope I can be as up to date. I even took pictures and filmed the footages on Chinese New Year’s eve, hoping I will somehow catch the time. But editing video and finally compile everything together is a hard work, especially when I swamped with lot of work.

However, I really hope you still can somehow find this relevant. Now let’s jump to the photos!

Entryway is my favourite spot during this festive season, mainly because it’s simple and warm.
I case you’re wondering, the framed art on the wall of our dining area is a handmade cross stitch artwork by my mother. It’s an image of two peacocks with carnation flowers blooming. I love carnation, by the way. This artwork is just perfect for this season.

Nothing screams Chinese New Year louder than red and gold. To be frank, red is not really my taste in colour. It’s too bold and ‘loud’ to me. Initially, I wanted to have pink or blue as the theme but my husband said the colour red somehow symbolise luck and prosperity during Chinese New Year, and so I make an exception this time. It’s his ‘holiday’ after all!
